As far as I know, that is real.
It was on the PSN DLC release schedule but it was taken down.
The DLC seems to be: Ryo always in the Forklift (Out now on 360) and Metal Sonic and Death Egg race track.

Just looked it up - it's definitely real, and according to Wikipedia (sketchy, then), it's out today. Huzzah. Although Ristar's not in it, but at least Sega haven't ignored him. Right, now onto the next part - how the Hell do I get my XBox online?

how the Hell do I get my XBox online? You pay faaaaar out the ass for it. ;D Do you have a router in the house? You can only connect a console wirelessly to the internet with a router, or you can rummage through wherever you keep your Xbox stuff (if Xbox comes with this) for a wire in which you can directly hook to an internet source, like a phone jack, and connect through that. If you have a router and it's not working, and if you have multiple computers working in your house, the signals might be interfering with each other. I have this problem with my PS3 often, but I don't know much about Xboxs.

'space gadget'? Is that like Crazy Gadget from SA2? ;D (the music) No. Its like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0lVtyMUVkATo be honest, Highway in the Sky (Final Rush) or The Ark (Shadow) would have been better choices. As well as you know... DEATH EGG from either Sonic 2 or Sonic 3&K. Cosmic Fall is cool beans though.

Sonic 2 would be better for a racing game, since the formula for race games is one straight shot to the end, just take out the bosses in between. Sonic 3's death egg would be too difficult to fit into a racing game.

I meant the Death Egg music... Oh, in that case, I'd vote Sonic 3, Sonic 2's music (beta and final) would be an irritation on the ears and 3's Death Egg sounded more consistent, paced and easier to listen to for longer periods of time. Plus, it's construction is easier to push in the background of your mind, whereas Sonic 2's feels more prominent in my mind. (to me...)

No. It's like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-JHfXVlkikTo be honest, I can think of a billion songs more fitting than Space Gadget OR Cosmic Fall (only notable thing about Cosmic Fall is Vector's line. You know the one...). As you've said, Highway in the Sky, but also songs like Wrapped in Black (or, if you wanted to cater to me alone, Bomber Barbera, Metallic Madness (any period), Stardust Speedway (Bad Future), Mechanical Resonance, and Death Egg Zone as well. But of course, Sega are allergic to remastering music from old games. I heard when Jun Senoue was told to do it for Brawl, he had to have a kidney removed. Although it is nice to see Never Let It Go (the theme of Metal Sonic from Sonic the Fighters), as well as Egg Fleet and... General Offensive. I would have preferred Skydeck-a-go-go! but meh, it's the difference between an ice-cream and a chocolate ice-cream - both nice, just one's marginally better. Who wants ice-cream?

Apparently Metallic Madness is used during Metal Sonic's all star move.
Ultimately, most of the music in the game is unfitting. Apart from Super Sonic Racing.

JP/EU, going by the Palmtree Panic. And I dunno, it's 50/50 for me. Be Cool, Be Wild and Groovy is really out of place, as is A New Day, but there are a lot (Palmtree Panic, Crank the Heat Up!!) which kinda make sense to me.

IMO, Sonic the Fighters had really good music, it was intense and some would be great with a race game, take away some hard percussion and speed it up a little.

Death Egg + Metal Sonic DLC's up, don't buy it yet though. It's accidentally been listed at a cosmic fail of 800 points but was supposed to be selling for the still generally offensive 560 points. Yeah... don't buy it at all, actually.

I got it.
Really cool track. Metal Sonic's arms look a bit too long though.

When I first saw this game I thought "OMG Sonic is in a car, why sega?! WHY?!"
But thinking about it. Sonic would have an incredibly unfair advantage over everyone else, since he can travel 100 times faster than a racing car.
Still can't decide whether or not to buy it.

If you like MK, you'll like this. I'm really enjoying it, actually despite dubiousness at first. IMO, better than Mario Kart Wii.

I bought it last week. The Metal Sonic dlc too. I too was dubious, but I'm quite enjoying it so far. As I expected, the lack of track variety is a little disappointing, bur all in all, it's not bad.

If it's not a genre I like, but it has other things I like, I rent it, torrent it to try (if it's on a hand-held console) or look up reviews on it. I thought it was good advice. ;D

As racing games go, its certainly one of the better ones I've played for a long time. Plus, its sonic and sega, bonus!
