I agree. PSP looks like it has superior graphics, but only an idiot would care. The DS just has more awesome features and the line-up looks brilliant.

Ehm, 90 minutes on Ridge Racer? I think not, www.wipeoutzone.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1660 tenth post down, this guy's got a PSP with ridge racer, 4 and a half hours before the battery light came on. This guy's one's obviously got a good one and from reading a few boards i've found that the defective ones are actually pretty rare in terms of how many have been shipped so far, it's new technology, it's bound to be slightly unreliable, that's what you get for buying it early, by the UK release it'll all be ironed out, I'll bet

Least the DS doesn't require you to pay extra for memory sticks in order to be able to save games. I wonder if the PSP flings them out as well, like their game discs *snerk*
The point of my post is to say hey, maybe you have your preferences with the PSP, and maybe tohers have them with the DS, but acting like petty little fanboys and girls doesn't really merit either console.

On the memory sticks (standard memory sticks!) one can jampack MP3 and movies to play at your will. DS doesn't I believe.

I don't need a console to play movies for me though. If I want to watch a movie, I want to do so in the comfort of my own home on my DVD player/VCR. I'd rather have a nice long battery life to play my games on my gaming device.
If people want to have a multi-purpose machine, that's fine too. It's easier for me to watch a movie on a big screen with the subtitles on though, than to try and squint at the screen in my hand. On another note though, how would it work? How would you fast forward and rewind through movies, change scenes, et cetera. Assumedly with all the buttons available; does anyone have anything to show how this is achieved?
My recent post was indeed snarky, but I want to come into this topic to read posts about the merits of each console, and likes and dislikes, not "OMGBLATANTSLAMMING" and "IN YOUR FACE DS" and such.

You don't get scenes on computer format movies. You are leading a sheltered life.
One would assume the machine's stuff would open its player and you would use the X and triangal and that to change things.
Little effect on the battery I'd guess as there are no moving parts involved.

Twould be interesting to see how that goes. Although I'm personally not going to invest in a PSP, it's still intriguing to know a thing or two about other consoles.

I still don't fully understand how people can get so passionate about hardware that isn't even out here yet. Oh well.... On a lighter note, I hear that Mr Kojima wants to do a DS game. Probably another Boktai, though.

Sod off, the lot of you! Okay, I admit maybe I was getting a little possesive, since I've always supported Sony since I grabbed my first Playststion and yes, maybe I thought the PSP bashing was getting a little to much, so I hopped on the "bash DS" train. Sorry about that. So I'm a fanboy, so sue me! Anyway, did you lot just update this thread so you could bash me? Who's the hypocrite now, huh?

Heh, I found quite a funny anti-DS picture. Even though I like the sound of the DS, I found the picture quite amusing. So I hope you enjoy it.The DS user will have the last laugh in about 4-6 hours.

True, I Think we're being a bit silly now Yes, I saw that picture before, lol. But I'm willing to agree to disagree on points, but we'll just see about the PSP when it comes out in England/America. As for import shop, that's good. Our place that normally does that didn't have anything, so I'm glad my boyfriend got mine. Plus he got it for me for Christmas, so YAY. <3

Okay everyone, I call for a truce. No more bashing of either system unless it is something that really ticks you off. I promise to end my hypocritic ways with loads of cheap therapy and copious amounts of booze so let's leave it at that, okay?
*holds out hand *
Truce?

NEVER! ... Sorry. I was using the lowest form of wit. All willing for a truce sir. Shame it's not as easy doing it with some arrogant people I've actually met with my own eyes.
