The Message Zone will usually pick up and change any swear words, but this thread is for instances where a normal word has been edited by the swear filter by mistake -- usually because part of it sounds like a swear word.
For example, if "carp" was censored, you might get an error like "s[censored]ered" for "scarpered".
Please give a link to the post where the error took place, and if necessary explain what you were trying to say.
(This thread is not for questioning which words should be filtered out and which shouldn't.)

"Turd" is not censored. Note I'm only saying it here to inform you.
Edit: Scratch that. Censor it and you censor "Saturday"

I'm not sure 'turd' is really all that offensive, really, is it? I don't know. It's easy to make it allow Saturday and remove 'turd'.

Turd could be termed as a mild explicit. "I stepped in turd" is a completely different context to "You stupid turd".

Well, that's true of most words. Bastard is a perfectly legitimate way to refer to someone born out of wedlock, but not as a term of abuse. I'm more tempted to play this one by ear.

What about Hell, that was censored all of a sudden.

Yeah, and what about crap, bloody, hell and [censored].
I'm from London originally and you can't go by without hearing [censored] from someone.

They are, that's my point. I only typed them because there's an easy way to type obscene language without it getting censored. But no-one does except in context like this or they'll get banned.

I don't really get the argument. It's fine to dodge the filter to use words correctly. It's not fine to dodge the filter to use words abusively.

B-ugger has been sensored. Thats a good chunk of my vocabulary gone. Arse is a more offending word but that isn't filtered.

Any of various forms of sexual intercourse held to be unnatural or abnormal, especially anal intercourse or bestiality.
'Arse' on the other hand is just slang for backside (the annoying dictoanry website said it was a varient of 'ass' <bet it was 180years older than 'ass' too!>)

dictionary.reference.com/search?q=monkey ... thats silly - it even modified the link XD Hmm, if you think about it - it's also an old slang word. Stop Bugging me you b-ugger... see? It's only recent its turned 'rude'... like gay (which used to mean happy, but is used for multiple other meanings now.) Okay, thats not entirely true it's also a sexual term - But when I say it, I use it in the term of ' you annoying poo!' er - so since the links broken, heres the term... Phrasal Verbs: bug off Slang To leave someone alone; go away. bug out Slang To leave or quit, usually in a hurry. To avoid a responsibility or duty. Often used with on or of: bugged out on his partners at the first sign of trouble.

I don't really like thinking of the word. I'm happy it's filtered.
Lakit: I know you know what it means but you make it sound like it's a casual word that people use all the time.
