Not really. It can't be worse than some of the other words we use on here.

I demand that any word that is changed to "[Ban this user]" simply be the regular "[censored]" like everything else. Because it's just stupid.
[Ban this user] [Ban this user]
I would very much appreciate it if I could read this post at a later date and find that it simply just says "[censored]" twice.
Also, I request "faggot" to be unfiltered, because I do genuinely eat them on a regular basis. Also "fag". I think they're too regularly used in their non offensive forms to be censored.

OK, but we don't want to hear about your dinner. Faggot remains censored.
Edit: As far as "ban this user" goes, f-words and s-words are fairly innocuous, but n-words etc. tend to reflect real bigotry. It's best to keep them seperate from the casual swearing, if you ask me. I'm pretty sure I was the one who added the "ban this user" thing in the first place and that was years ago. What with the swear filter being upgraded so much and it remaining, it's safe to say it's a good idea.
Also, why would you ever need to use racial slurs on a Sonic the Comic forum?
(Granted I've used them in my butcheries a couple times, but this is due to certain memes amusing me rather than actual prejudice.)

(Granted I've used them in my butcheries a couple times, but this is due to certain memes amusing me rather than actual prejudice.) If you're able to do it in butcheries because of amusing memes and such, then surely the same would be able to apply to a post? Not saying the word should be uncensored, but you've pretty much given an example of how the words can be used in a less bigotted way.
And yes, maybe homophobic and racial slurs have no place on this forum, so they should still be censored, but when have you ever seen the sentence "[censored] off you [Ban this user]" written?
I've seen "[Ban this user]" pop up a few times on here, and the user hasn't been banned. This is because the situations in which they've used the word obviously haven't been in a racist context and thus they haven't reflected any real bigotry or hatred.
I have never once seen it used offensively in 5 years of posting here, so every time it has been used has been out of context. Thus making the whole "ban this user" message invalid.
Also, fair enough on faggot, but what about fag? Because while people will rarely talk about one item of food in particular, cigarettes are a very common item often used in a sentence, and will often be referred to as fags (I've seen on occasion Obsidian having a post that reads "while I had a [censored] in my mouth"). Again, it's been used in an unoffensive context more times than it has offensive.

Snide remark not appreciated.
And the rest of the list are far less commonly used words.
Then ban them. They deserve to be banned whether the word is censored or not.

Actually it was a Star Wars reference, but whatever. But either way, those are uncensored versions I suggested, you can use them.

Dunno if it's been pointed out, but if a word is accidentally censored, like snigger, you can get rid of the censor by putting [ /b] somewhere in the middle, if you're really that bothered by it.
s[censored] -> sn[ b]igger -> snigger.

the word wris [censored]ch gets censored for the tw*t part. Something quite strange used to happen when you typed that, I think Samface fixed it in the end.

Wikipedia sez
Sambo: a racial term for a person with mixed Amerindian and African heritage (see zambo) and can also be used less specifically for a black person in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is considered a racial slur. Darkie: an ethnic slur. Coon: an ethnic slur used for black people.
HAH! disregard that, I read it upside down.
ooookay, Pikey: a pejorative slang term used mainly in the United Kingdom to refer to Irish Travellers, gypsies or people of low social class.
